Not resigning Mark Stone would be an even stupider move than the Duchene trade.

 

At the same time, if you're the players, would you even want to stay? They're kind of in their prime right now where they'd probably make about the same thing on the market. It's possible melnyk doesn't trust dorion to get the most out of trading them, which is also probably pretty bad for the team as a whole. Just give them to Saskatoon already.
