I... kinda agree with that -- it wasn't a hit to the head, just unnecessary contact, but given the player I can't blame the referees for making that call. Erik Johnson actually hit someone in the head yesterday and there hasn't been the same outrage.

Twitter was unhinged, though. If the time its instigators spent harassing Tom Wilson and the journalists that cover him was devoted to the shitty owners, the Voynovs/Kanes, the racist fans, the facilitators of hazing, etc., maybe hockey culture wouldn't be as embarrassing as it is.
