hmm. interesting ideas on some podcast i was listening to:

what if the Flyers GM was fired partly because he wouldn't do a deal for Nylander? maybe he didn't want to give them as much as they wanted and Holmgren disagreed?

 

I know nothing about flyers but it feels like nylander would be a bad reason to fire a gm

 

from what i have learned over the last few days is that the GM was very slow to make moves, very patient which most feel was patience almost to a fault. but that he came into a shit job and at least has gotten them to have good up and coming prospects. i guess he was also very loyal to the head coach which is why most have been saying the wrong guy was fired.

so i could see upper management being unhappy if he was in talks with Dubas (which everyone seems to say has happened) and either backed out or didn't offer enough and if those above him felt it would be worth it.

either way the clock is ticking....!

 

whoa, Buffalo could possibly have 3 first round picks in the upcoming draft. that's crazy. if they get all 3 of those and hit on those picks, this really could be a crazy good team very quickly.

One of my best friends growing up was a huge Redwings (all Detroit teams) fan. The little I knew about hockey growing up came from him and was Redwings based so I kind of sort of have a fondness to them.
