Interesting song choice by Vegas music guy last night...

They seem to rotate through Vegas-based bands like The Killers and P!ATD but after the 3rd goal against San Jose the P!AtD song has a line in a chorus that goes “swimming with the SHARKS until we drown”.

They were playing the Sharks lol. Think you may want to save that song for a different team as that doesn’t actually sound good in Vegas’ favor (good song and album by the way)

Edit: unless they always they play the particular P!ATD song, but I think they rotate through a handful of them

Edit edit: okay they’re only playing this song after goals but I know I’ve heard other songs so I wonder if they purposefully chose this song as their goal song against the Sharks even though the lyrics aren’t in their favor

 

i know it's partly because they've played more games than anyone else in the Eastern Conference, but if the season ended last night Buffalo would be the top seed in the east.

 

in the end points are points, but i can't tell how much Buffalo is lucky and how much of it is them being good. during their winning streak (9 games so far):

- 8 of the 9 games have been decided by 1 goal
- 6 of the 9 have been shootout or overtime wins

great experience for the team and for all the young guys to win this way, and i think it's a hell of a lot better in the long run to get wins in this fashion rather then winning 5-1 or something

 

The teams with two or more shootout wins: BUF, MON, DET, NYR, and ANA. That's a worrying group to be a part of.
