PDO is a real bitch. The isles have like a 106 PDO with xgf% under 50. They're poised to crash soon.

to be fair, the defense has been shit though. the second(?) goal allowed against Dallas was totally Eriksson's fault for putting Jones in a bad spot. the pass to Eriksson was also bad, but Carl was apparently fucking blind to the defender reaching for the puck while he just calmly stood there lazily waiting for the puck to arrive to him without helping AT ALL.

Jones probably believed the hype about how great the defense was supposed to be and thought they could go lax on his offseason training.

they're pretty good

 

a lot of teams grouped closed together in the 15-19 point range. not sure if that's usual or not almost a quarter into the season, but aside from a few teams that are playing really well (Nashville, Tampa Bay) and a few teams playing really bad (Los Angeles... (can't really say Florida since they've played so few games compared to most)) everyone seems pretty even so far

 

...And then he lost it in the shootout (i also still think having over 50 shots but still losing is unacceptable but maybe it's just me)

The Canucks GM said in a podcast this week that he / other GM’s will get more info on the rules of the expansion draft next week.

Hmm. That’s interesting. I mean, we all know Seattle gets approval on 12/2 (or 12/3 or 12/4 whenever that meeting happens in Georgia) and most likely gets the same rules as Vegas did, but why would they hear about this next week? Unless he misspoke and meant next month that seems very odd to get clarity on it next week.
