They definitely deserve the backlash they are getting for it, just like those few teams that came before them. Outside of division champ banners, banners should be reserved for actual things that come with a trophy.

Yea I didn't realize that happened until this morning. Super fucking disappointing.

 

I have no clue why they couldn't terminate that dude's contract? Obviously Chicago is gonna be reluctant to cut ties with a guy that was integral to their three championships in six years, but Watson is a plug, why is this the hill to die on?

 

Austin Watson is one of the most replaceable players in the league already anyways. There's no reason they should not terminate his contract, and there's even less reason to have him dress in full uniform and introduce him as part of the team when he's currently serving a lengthy suspension for domestic abuse. Bad decisions all around.

 

@cryates is the Tn star like Tennessees right wing paper? I was reading an article about how someone up high gave money to bredesen and the editor literally quoted himself and what I can only describe brought me great laughter

 

Actually I don’t think I’ve ever read a thing from the TN Star. I can tell you pretty much every inch of Tennessee is right wing though.
