Just looked up sacks all time leaders. Julius Peppers is far and away the best of our generation haha. He is fourth all time with 154.5 sacks, plus 52 FF and 20 FR, averaging over 10 sacks, 3 FF & 1 FR per season.

I know some guys get 20 sack seasons, but keeping up that kind of production for 16 years despite injuries, scheme change to a 3-4 in Green Bay, playing in his 30s when he has to mentally compensate for being slower, etc is insane.

He also has had 11 INTs & 6 TD (CRAZY number for a pass rusher, he’s that rare one that can actually cover when they drop the DE in weird blitz packages.)

Think about it, dude was a slender 6’7” 295, he had more length than anybody AND more speed than anybody at his position, a knack for turnovers and an all around game. Drafted 2nd overall by his home state team, he ran a 4.68 40’ at 295 fucking pounds.

We never talk about Peppers anymore but that guy has had a hell of a career and he’s STILL PLAYING a few snaps for Carolina.

Demarcus Ware was and is one of my favorite players ever but then you look at his career compared to Julius Peppers and it's insane.

Ware is a Hall of Fame level player and Peppers has been doing as good or better for 6 or 7 years longer!!!

Peppers had 11 sacks LAST YEAR. What is he 37 years old?!? How did I not notice this hahaha

Like that’s not the team giving him 5 patronizing courtesy sacks in obvious pass rushing situations so the crowd can honor their favorite Carolina Panther lol. He’s still competitive with the top 15-20 starting DEs in the league.

Best part is Goff is objectively far better now while Dak is far worse. So apparently, Tavon Austin deserves more blame than credit.

Is it just me or do Joe Buck and Troy Aikman kind of use the same exact inflection and have almost the same exact voice

maybe i'm using espn and nfl.com wrong but it seems very humorous to me that the only place i can immediately find season-by-season player stats is Wikipedia.

White: "His nine consecutive seasons (1985–1993) with at least 10 sacks remain an NFL record"

he would have been paid maybe better than Aaron Donald / Mack had he played these days. sacks by seasons: 13, 18, 21, 18, 11, 14, 15, 14 (his Philly years)

i always wanted to be the stat guy during games for those oddball ones.

"the last left handed quarterback to throw a flea flicker TD in temperatures below 45 degrees while down by 10 with five minutes to play was Matt Lytle in 2001."

Yeah James has stood out in every Chargers game

Love him. Wish we had any way of pairing him with Jalen Ramsey again.

James should never have fallen that far. I love Vita Vea but the Bucs would be 3-0 right now with Derwin James back there.

Safeties are the most underrated position in almost every draft tbh

Even the best prospects seem to fall to the teens. Sean Taylor and Eric Berry are the only exceptions who actually went at pick 5 in the last like 15 years. And both of them coulda deserved to go even higher.

Texans got a steal with Reed in round 3 and so did we with Harrison even later than that.

I get why. There are valid concerns about how players translate into the NFL. But at the same time, guys like Minkah and Derwin are clearly too good to pass up. I get why someone like Bates and Harrison would fall. But Derwin had no business falling. Reid too.

    there is one way out

I didn’t thinj Terrell Edmunds would’ve shown up in a list like that...

Also apparently Terrell Edmunds first name is FeDarius. And his brothers first names are Ferrell and Fe’Zahn.
