do you remember Peyton Manning? every fucking cold weather game was bullshit about how he couldn't throw the ball and whatnot. and he sucked in most cold weather games.

i think to be fair it should be weather + age is a big impact. younger guys do just fine, aside from maybe slipping or missed tackles.

although i also remember now that Tampa Bay went like 0-25 in games where it was less than 40 degrees or something for a long, long time too so who knows what's going on

 

Philly and NE both are only 50% drafted.

LAR is actually less run by FAs than Philly, NE, and MIN.

 

First off-season in awhile where he was healthy so that's been a key. The team hasn't called a lot of deep shots either so his arm hasn't really been tested except on a few occasions. I'm just glad Turner seems to be working with him instead of turning him into a pocket passer or anything like that.

Like Minnesota got to the NFCCG without Cousins or Sheldon Richardson, and two of those O-linemen were not FAs - also kinda hurts your point cause they signed FA on the line because they were desperate, and they aren’t very good.

 

Picking existing and proven successful teams from previous years and backing into a theory to say "it works!" doesn't mean that it's a good plan. There are plenty of teams who went all out in free agency on one player or a handful of players who didn't work out. They flame out and get forgotten.

Usually you are risking short term disappointment (compared to expectations) AND taking on long term cap struggles / inability to field a complete team when you spend that much money on successful free agents.

Jags are gonna lose some of our older studs for sure. Rams might legit have a cap collapse and go through a multi year period of having no talent outside of Gurley and Donald.

What is being debated - most teams might as well spend the money on the QB if their QB is good like Goff or Wentz... becuase their front office can try to draft / sign an A+ roster but most will probably fail.
