Cool, tell edge rushers to lose some lbs so they can play corner

"You can't not pay your QB!?"
"You have to draft perfectly to win without a great QB!"
"You can't win with a mediocre QB and a good team!"

Where is KJ and Fuck You to swing their dicks and swat this nonsense away? The Eagles, who drafted only half of their starters and won with a back-up, are the Champions.

I'm not moving the goal posts lol. You are hyper-focusing on drafting when that's not even the POINT of what the article is saying! They're saying save money on the QB, fill in the holes similar to how the Rams did when they, you know, acquired three of the top 50 or so defensive players in the league.

Cowboys are currently averaging 6.0 yards per carry but are below average in rushing play percentage compared to the rest of the league.

This is all you need to read to understand how fucking SHIT our coaches are. Ugh.

Yeah that’s stupid and unsustainable. The Rams took out a line of credit to win now. Even if they trade Goff they will still be in trouble.

They've re-signed all their core pieces and have been drafting well and have a great coach. But it's obvious this system can work now and we're still denying it so I don't expect sustained success in LA to change any minds.

You want to save money on the quarterback so that you can re-sign all your studs and keep the team culture together. It is absolutely not just about free agents @CarpetElf

Then why are you saying I’m “hyper focusing” on the draft? The draft is literally 75% of this lol

I just keep coming back to I'm being told the strategy that brought 4/4 teams to conference championships last season is bad. Which, lol.

3/4 teams. Last year only. And that was an anomaly because usually the playoffs are full of elite quarterbacks.

And, those 3 teams are lucky to have very skilled front offices who hit on a lot of draft picks. Jags are the only one out of the 3 who used a lot of money on free agents. Eagles & Vikings success is almost entirely home grown.

i think people are way too high on the Chiefs. yes, Mahomes is great fun to watch, but some things to consider / remember:

    - he's played less than half a season, people don't have film on him yet
    - KC gets cold and windy in November / December. will be curious to see how he does in bad weather
    - in 12 quarters of play, KC has scored 3 points or less 4 TIMES (33%). they are VERY hot and cold offensively
    - horrid defensive stretches
    - coached by Andy Reid, for better and worse

Backing a dump truck up full of money for high dollar free agents might work for a season, but building successful teams for 3, 5, or even more years is absolutely dependent on drafting well and building depth.

Agreed except on the weather. That affects nothing.

I mean, I don’t have numbers, but I think we can all agree that most NFL players are capable of functioning at a similar skill level in the cold lol

Except the jaguars, who only put up 45 points in Pittsburgh!

    Nope. Supporter

Idk the Broncos Manning years relied HEAVILY on free agents because their drafts were average/below average and it worked out pretty well for them

I still prefer to build through the draft though. Free agency can be a total miss and it costs way more to do that than miss on a draft pick or three.
