Wouldn't call Radiohead "a mainstream band" in the same context as The Killers and Maroon 5

 

No one will ever be Queen or Zeppelin or Beatles so I won't make any of those comparisons.

But I can just sit and listen to Radiohead's whole discography and not get bored as long as you get rid of their first album Pablo Honey haha. Their music is both unique and weirdly really catchy. Which is kind of my thing as a music fan, it's kind of like sweet & savory in the food world haha

Radiohead is pineapple on pizza. You either get it and you love it, or you don't and you fuckin hate it lol

I saw a video in a modern art museum of The National's art piece with playing 'Sorrow' 6 hours straight. I thought it was so stupid of an "art piece" but it undoubtedly moved me after 10 minutes or so.

 

Maroon 5 is one of the worst bands in the entire world

 

They've been both a rock band and the complete opposite of a rock band haha. So I guess it's hard to call them anything.

With genres I'm very loose about how I apply them. I just use big umbrella terms. Fuck subgenres.
