I eat Grotto pizza on vacation every summer.

 

California Tortilla and Panda Express is some good shit.

 

Here’s the reasons why chick fil A earns the hype:

1) Dipping sauces are on POINT

2) they give you a FAT ASS hunk of chicken on that bread

3) the breading is soft, no lard-hardened chicken skin. Like you’re biting through a cloud for that juicy chicken

4) Line could be 20 cars long and they are faster than 3 cars at McDonald’s

5) PERFECT WAFFLE FRIES. Texture, the flavor of the oil, the amount of salt. They always get it right.

6) Best god damn milkshakes too. Run and tell that, homeboy. The strawberry flavor is sacred and so is cookies & cream.

7) lemonade and sweet tea don’t taste bitter. If you’re not from the south you won’t understand.

8) most places force you to pay for the drink because just the sandwich and fries is like 20 cents less than the meal... but getting a water cup at Chick fil A actually saves you $2 like it should

And here’s the best one

9) they literally are required to say “my pleasure” every time you say thank you. It’s fun to run up a tally and see how many times you can get them to say it. They say it like someone’s holding a gun to their head and demanding that they say it lol.

 

I get a frozen lemonade everytime.

 

Chick fila sauce is the GOAT condiment

 

Chick Fil A has the GOAT chicken nuggets.

 

I made korean beef tacos and they were fucking outstanding.

 

Polynesian sauce is excellent too. Always get both.

 

???? I get minimal burger toppings and I can’t spend less than ~$12 at a five guys around here. It’s lower end sit-down restaurant prices


Also ive never understood not liking Pizza Hut, i love it. Their original wings were great too; new ones suck.

 

Yikes, maybe 5 guys raised their prices a lot. I definitely remember the base burger & fries being like, 7.50 and then after toppings it'd be maybe 8.25 plus tax.

What the hell are you getting from McDonald’s that costs the same as Five Guys? Lol

A normal cheeseburger, with large fries and a drink is like $8 at McD, the burger alone is $8.25 at my local Five Guys

Their fries are bomb but I refuse to pay that much for an okay fast food burger

Blaze sucks, I can go to Publix and get fresh bakery dough and everything else for like $12 and get a bigger, more filling pizza for just about the same price and I’ll have leftovers. Although the Blaze sea salt is damn good on a pizza

 

Yeah, they've gone up quite a bit in the last 5 years. Used to have one on my way home from work, I could be out the door with burger, fries, and a drink for like $9-10. Now there's no way that isnt $14 at least.

 

Agreed. And Ive had stuff like MOD that is way better too.

Haha, fucking Ledo's. What a disaster that place is...its basically a less classy Olive Garden. There's one right near where I kayak all the time, and it used the be the quick, lazy option, but I always regretted it. Thankfully the options have expanded.

 

Man that sucks. Five Guys was so awesome when it was cheap.

Yep. Looking back at my old spending (thanks Mint!), it was $8.25 for just a burger and fries in 2011. Now its nearly $12 for the same thing. Big part of that is they dont make fries for a single sane human being...even the "little" fry is like a McDonalds Large fry.

 

See now I just go to M shack. One of my favorite Jax-local casual spots to eat.

Place checks all the boxes - affordable burger bar with open indoor/outdoor seating, good variety of options for sides & toppings, and multiple local draft beers. The single patty starts at 4.75. The “normal” toppings are all free.

The toppings that have upcharges are like maple cayenne bacon / white vinegar farm pickles / BBQ pork belly & slaw, cool stuff like that. The side I usually get is fried pickles or jalapeños with remoulade sauce, they also do mac & cheese. The hand spun Apple pie cheesecake milkshakes... tbh everything there is super good.

Fuck getting a burger anywhere else at this point haha. It’s not gonna be as good for at least the same money.

 

If you have 5 minutes or so, take a look at these mini breakdowns and see the same shit I’ve been complaining about.

Dak isn’t perfect or a top ten QB or whatever, but THIS is the awful playcalling and general subpar playing of his supporting offense around him and the bottom five type of coaching. Only the truly elite QBs could make up for this kind of nonsense, especially when your best receiver is Beasley in the slot, which just isn’t anywhere near enough.

There’s a play or two that Dak could have audibled out of or shifted protection there, but lack of situational coaching and/or common sense is a problem across the whole team at this point. It’s pathetic how unprepared our entire team is on a weekly basis. I’ve been seeing this shit for years and years.
