I mean, maybe Im missing something, but, every team in the NFL should be looking to offer up a conditional late rounder to the Browns at minimum. Dude is basically free this year, and would only cost $4mil on the RFA tender next year.

That said, I wouldnt offer much beyond like a 5th for him, since he's always one mis-step away from his career ending

I disagree with you. Having two very good pass rushers for the long haul is important. Depth players are easier to replace obviously.

Starting guard isn't depth. RB2 isn't depth on our team. K isn't depth. A back-up DE? That's depth haha. Fowler will be expensive. We could literally re-sign Lambo and Grant and still have enough left over to use in free agency or on extending the three best young players we've got. Fowler is not worth risking losing Ramsey, Yannick, or Jack at all.

Fowler wouldnt be kept as a back up DE, that seems very short sighted.

I’ll have an all rookie / waiver / late FA backup line. We picked up Omameh super late last season and he played better than Cann tbh. We have a coach whose specialty is line. And Tyler Shatley isn’t good enough to start so he wouldn’t have a competitive market. I dislike and want to replace Josh wells anyway.

RB2, you’ve already admitted several times we can’t keep Yeldon anyway, we resign Grant and grab another power back on day 2 of the draft.

I just don’t see how any of this is better than the concept of having two DE who could EACH have 15 sack / 3+ forced fumble seasons.

The Patriots went on the road and lost to one of the top teams in the conference, playing their best possible game, in the hottest game in years without their best defensive player and the only wide receiver who can truly create separation.

I’m saying make space for all four. Cut Dareus this offseason and Campbell next. Boom. That’s 25 million more dollars per season right there.

Cheaply replace our backup line except Shatley, (waivers / late FA / third day picks) and prioritize drafting replacements for Yeldon and Cann in rounds 2 and 3.

Resign Lambo, Shatley and Grant unless any of them has a huge ego and demands more than they are worth.

Draft another very good CB early in case we have to lose Bouye.

Losing Cam this year probably means one more year of Parnell, ideally Richardson becomes our swing tackle over Wells.

I also consider it likely Bortles restructures his contract to spread out the money.
