You were very right and I was very wrong haha. I became a believer in the off-season but preseason and camp got me a little skeptical again.

 

Idk, I think Jimmy G is gonna be Jimmy G no matter where is he. Mahomes is in the actual perfect situation. Like, you could not draw up a better coach or offense for his play style. Chiefs are looking real smart and we're (minus Dustin) looking real dumb.

If I'm saying the same thing about the Bills next year you have my full permission to kill me.

 

I think he could turn it around if Wentz is his QB.

What I’m saying is Jimmy is also a fantastic spread / west coast offense quarterback, who has a lightning quick release, and ability to cycle through multiple reads every play. He just does not have the receivers for that at all. Like none of them at all are any good lol. Goodwin is like the fourth best USC receiver from that time

 

I want a tiara because while i didn't overly praise the mahomes pick, i called a lot of other teams dumber than the chiefs. That's something right?

 

I don't think there are many QBs who would look like Mahomes looks right now if put in his situation. Jimmy G isn't one of them.

 

Eh. Deshaun Watson was bound to come back down to earth. The NFL is going to make you change how you play if you’re too dominant in one style, teams are too good at noticing patterns and bad habits on film, and taking advantage of them. Deshaun’s style last year was electric but in a purely athletic way, I’m not sure he was going through reads or understanding coverages at a high level.

You should be happy he has those physical tools though. As he becomes more cerebral and learns more about the NFL he should return to being hard to stop.

 

From what I've seen so far this season, he just launches the ball super far and prays for his receivers to be the ones to catch it.

 

I will say though it seems Doug Pederson and Andy Reid are two very QB friendly coaches. They find ways to build coverage checks into their scheme and simplify decisions for QBs. All they really need is a good improviser with a quick release and highly confident, no-hesitation decision making... and the playbook takes care of the rest.

 

Idk how any QB can fix his stone hands problem
