on a podcast the other day someone mentioned that the Browns have gone scoreless in the 1st quarter like 50% of Hue's time as coach and i thought that could be right but holy shit these are the 2016/2017 numbers:

- Browns go scoreless in the 1st quarter in 56% of 2016/2017 games (18 of 32 games) including two stretches (one in each year) of 4 games straight
- Browns go scoreless in 48% of all quarters played 2016/2017 (61 of 128 quarters)
- only ONE GAME in which the Browns scored points in each quarter of a game
- Browns were somehow worse in 2017 than 2016 in these categories (8 vs 10, 30 vs 31)

Idk why Gordon would want to play with Bortles after the shitfest of qbs he's had but at least he knows it would be harder to justify releasing him because of their lack of depth so it makes sense in that respect
