That's why I was hoping y'all would have won the Cousins contest. It would be amazing to see y'all with a good quarterback.

Imagine being the coach whose decision to start that guy cost you a win last year....then repeating that mistake...and still thinking it was a good idea. When both times, the outcome was scores in the 40+ to 7 range while he was on the field.

They should have been the 5 seed in the playoffs last year but for Peterman.

Conviction is a good trait for a coach. Stubbornness isn’t. Fine line.

one thing i wish Wilson would correct (but he's done it forever so old dog / new tricks) is his backwards run where he zigs and zags too quickly so the defender doesn't lean too far one way or another. he does this like 6 times a game and usually gets the ball away but with a defender very close by. against Denver at least two of those moments resulted in a huge fucking sack because he doesn't "cut back" he just continuously does little "bounces" back and forth (hard to describe in writing, easier to see)

I'll see you again in 25 years Prestigious

Given that this was designed to be a 3-4 year re-build process and they made the playoffs last year when they had no business being there, that's absolutely not true.

Peterman is garbage, don't get me wrong, but based on the pre-season "open competition" he "won" the job. How much accountability can McDermott be expected to absorb when he unexpectedly lost his two best OL in the offseason?

@ClarettsGreyGoose interested in your take on this as well, as a fellow Bills fan, and since you seem to want him fired.

I get what he's saying. Bortles SHOULD be in that CATEGORY. Not skill level but like, he's not regarded as a mobile threat which is a bit silly.

    oh he specified mobile.

man i need to fucking read.

What it really is - Belicheck is a defensive mastermind.

Bortles IS a poor pocket decision maker. But the reason he gets yards and TDs anyway is because teams try to play him like a normal QB, and don't account for all the open field he finds by going off script and not even trying to "process reads".

Truth is he doesn't always have a "pattern" and you more so have to be disciplined about making sure every part of the field is covered, than trying to read keys necessarily. Our offense is more about misdirection and lateral movement than trying to make Bortles process decisions. He actually is dangerous with his legs and that opens up throwing lanes that opponents dont usually have to cover.

And Belicheck is smart for accounting for that and not underestimating it, just because it isn't high level of going through progressions from the QB standpoint.
