why is football so mean to you guys?

 

1. I agree in that he shouldn’t be compared, but you and I both know that will be the case, unfortunately. Assuming Ward can keep playing at a #1 CB level, then yeah it was the right pick. Definitely filled a bigger need, but Chubb is awesome and Ogbah got an ankle injury yesterday.
2. Love seeing him succeed. I really like his story and he just seems like a genuine person.

 

And to think they put themselves in this situation. Very perplexing.

also, if Green Bay doesn't run their 2nd half vs the Bears offensive every single drive the remainder of the year - fire everyone associated with that team. why they constantly try and run the ball and pretend they have a running back and an offensive line for running is beyond me. just line up 5 WR's and Graham and go at it.

then again if the Packers run this offense over any of the last 5-7 years they probably have another 2-3 rings. this isn't new.

it's almost like McCarthy knows they'll win that way and is deliberately self-sabotaging himself / the team.

They would score but also have a bunch of quick 3 and outs and a team with a competent offense and coach like say the falcons would just crush them again. They have to run plays to consistently score on good defenses and keep an already suspect packers defense from getting gassed. I'm not sure if you were serious or not and this is a really pointless argument but I've just started posting in here more recently over the politics thread because politics is worse than even the nil, which is saying something.

 

There are certainly pros and cons but running up the middle for a yard in 1st and 2nd down and then throwing a 1 yard screen pass is still a 3 and out. Just a bit more time off the clock. (And that’s a McCarthy constant)

They would get stopped from time to time, but it would pay off more than it wouldn’t.

Falcons have a competent offense?

 

Julio jones had 3 TDs last year

 

I mean they were 8th in total offense which is competent, but it was mostly a little jab at the packers because they've blown them out the last few times they've played.

Yeah Matt Ryan has never been good in the red zone. Julio should be scoring 10-12 TD a season.

i had no idea Dick Stockton was still broadcasting. he definitely shouldn't be. he's terrible. you know what else is terrible? most of the Seahawk's roster. zing!

i weep for the days ahead when we face above average quarterbacks. luckily we may only face 4-5 of those, but still! Keenum was eating them alive. almost no pressure (ONE FUCKING SACK) and even with getting 3 picks they lost. granted the defense may gel going forward, they look so physically small and get lost like headless chickens, i don't see them getting better.

they got burned to death by the fucking ghosts of Emmanuel Sanders and Damaryius Thomas.

Will Dissly is now the third most favorite Seahawk on the team (behind Wilson, Thomas) and he won't catch 10 more passes all year. he'll still be third favorite by season's end though.

Wilson won't make it 16 games. six sacks, got crushed a dozen other times.

a whole 65 rushing yards. Carson fumbled (or possibly just handed the ball to Miller, happened so goddamn fast) and Penny runs toward the sideline every time because he knows he doesn't have an offensive line.

every pass is a crazy Wilson miracle (Lockett TD) or a swing pass micacle (Dissly TD)

Janikowski missed kicks on back to back plays, both wide left. can't even overcorrect.

don't recall hearing Chubb's name much, so that's good. but probably didn't hear it because Miller was beating him to the ball / Wilson every fucking chance he got.

why did Thomas come back for this / to this?

Seattle got a false start penalty on a play where they spiked the ball. a false start. unbelievable.
