Thursday was like the christmas party you have wth your friends the weekend before christmas it gets you in the mood but the next day youre hungover and mad that people at the party dont know what a catch is

I’m always excited for football season but idk, something about this year has me more amped up than usual. Maybe because of the wide variety of teams that could be great, or all the young QB’s or just because I’m 30 and have so few things left to look forward to in my life, but I am really looking forward to the season (added bonus of now knowing what Game Pass is and having it)

 

I just found out the lounge I go to watch all the games got shutdown due to losing their liquor license and now I'm like damn where can I even go.

most places here don't really show all the games only the few on main tv.

 

Exactly the point I was making when I brought up Mike Wallace. Wallace balked at the contract extension they offered, and they just handed his contract to Antonio Brown who was just an ascending WR2 then, and got rewarded with the best WR in the NFL. Because they chose the humble hardworking 5th round pick from a small school over Wallace, whose ego continued to be far larger than his pedigree throughout his career.

Also I’m with Matt that Steelers fans I’ve met have been chill, and that’s always made me root for them.

 

What a recently injured guy wants us guaranteed money. What a team wants is a cheap contract. Both parties happy.

They took advantage of his uncertainty, he needed a sign from them that he wouldn’t be discarded. If they let him get confident he would have demanded far more or considered the market.

I don't know if he was a Raiders fan or just someone that always wants to defend players when they get popped for a positive test, but it was embarrassing.
