    If true, Gruden has ruined that team in four months and I’m beginning to wonder if his “love” of Oakland is still a very deep rooted anger at them trading him and he wanted back just to bury the franchise into oblivion and piss nightly on Al’s grave

    You gotta think, with two first rounders THIS YEAR, no defense, and a closing window, how could they NOT outbid their biggest rival?

    I'm sorry but I can't rationalize this in a positive way for the bears, unless you're Ryan pace who will now probably get an extra year even if they go 6-10

    Dammit I didn’t want Mack in our division unless it was on the Lions

    Chicago is going to be good very soon

    This is fun though, for when they go 7-9 again and then in two years get the no.1 overall pick

    Why is everyone acting like da bears are a darkhorse playoff contender now

    Because when you look at teams on paper they're much less shitty than they were the last two years by far, at the same time are in one of the toughest divisions and hey I ain't buying the hype at all but I get why you might.

    @dotkevin

    Certainly much better, but it's in the same tone of the Browns competing this year. Not there yet,

    The worst thing that could possibly happen is trubisky is a bust, you play the qb duck duck goose and by the time you finally find one and remake the team mack is like 32 years old

    After all of their offseason acquisitions the Bears are winning 5 games? Lol keep watching ESPN

    No, they'll probably go 7-9 and 8-8 for two more seasons before hiring a new gm and possibly a new coach

    I mean Pace just re-signed in the off-season so his job is safe as long as Nagy’s is as far as I’m concerned.

    The last time the Bears gave up two firsts was the Cutler trade, so yeah I’m leary of the price but Mack is a game changer. Obviously they’re banking on not picking Top 10 again.

    Sounds like a player is being sent to the Raiders as well. I imagine it’s an ILB, Danny Trevathan or Nick Kwiatkowski.

    Bears are up and coming (depending on Trubisky) but they play in a very tough division that is likely to be owned by the Packers / Vikings (barring injury) for the next 4-5 years most likely. Very tough uphill climb for them to make enough changes to overcome those teams.

    Don’t care what anyone says. They weren’t gonna do anything better than Khalil Mack with those two first round picks. They already have the QB they want, just signed a leading receiver, and just resigned their lead CB.

    The other premium position for a rebuilding team is pass rusher. Mack is probably better than anyone in the next two drafts, and even if it’s possible he’s not, we already know his elite talent translates to the NFL so there’s no bust risk.

    Also with Trubsky on a rookie deal for another 3-4 years they don’t have to worry about big contracts (aside from Mack) for awhile. They aren’t maxed out right now.
