I'm most excited to see our defense this year. Lee is a beast when he stays healthy, but all reports are saying Jaylon Smith is on another level than he was last year, so that's exciting. But it's all practice, so who knows.

Our corners are all super young but were decent last year and now we have the DB coach from the Seahawks who coached the Legion of Boom, so that has me REALLY excited. Plus, Demarcus Lawrence was a DPoY candidate last year, so I expect him to continue being amazing.

You can start a franchise right now and pick between these 2 QBs to be your starter for the foreseeable future:

    Watson or Wentz:
    Watson or Goff:
    Watson or Cousins:
    Watson or Rodgers:
    Watson or Mayfield:
    Watson or Dak:

why are so many random non-teammate players being asked about Watson? i don't remember this ever happening with a QB before.

It always happens with young quarterbacks who make a splash in their rookie years. Happened with Dak and Wentz in 2016 as well.

This is actually how the Redskins run their team broadcast...Doc Walker is the sidelines guy but he chimes in before half the plays, etc with things he's seeing in real-time...versus them throwing to him every 10mins or so. While it sounds cool, its actually incredibly annoying. But that might be Doc Walker, and not the style, because the entire Redskins broadcast team (Cooley aside) is hot garbage.

    Pretty awesome idea though

Turnovers are a big deal to me and Watson has shown that he turns the ball over and/or makes turnover worthy plays quite often. Cousins doesn't nearly as often and has multiple years of solid play.

If y'all want to look at total touchdowns then it only makes sense to look at his turnovers as well. He was on track for over 20 interceptions and 7 or so fumbles at the rate he was playing.

Uh he should pay child support and show up to the court hearings at the very least. This is really stupid. So the mother and his kid need money but he doesn't want to go to work and get paid because what, it'd be embarrassing if it somehow came out on HBO? I hope there's more to it than that.

One did a breakdown of the league.

One was against Watson this week in joint practices.

Sure, I could see that argument. But I'd prefer ~10 years of dependable Cousins-level play over however years Watson plays because I'm not fully on board with him yet.

Gimme the guy who is good over the guy who is not good.

Watson over Dak all day every day, twice on Sunday.

I mean....like 85 different people have added reasons why Dak just isn't as good as Watson. Do I really need to dig up ANOTHER reason to say you take the 23-year-old with the higher ceiling who already showed he can ball the fuck out?

Like I said before, there are multiple reasons on both sides of the argument but anything that's pro-Dak is swept under the rug and people point at how many touchdowns Watson got and ignore nearly every negative aspect of his game.

I like Watson a lot but I also agree that I think some people are getting a little crazy with him. I need to see it for a prolonged period of time before I believe he will be an MVP candidate or something. I still take him over most of the other young QBs in the league, though.

but Dak was not good last year. He was very good as a rookie, but he also had Zeke for a full season then too

I mean, Watson was on track to throw more interceptions last season than Dak has in 2 full seasons. That is a huge problem and that's without talking about his fumbles as well.

I'd rather have a safer quarterback than a gunslinger who's careless with the ball.
