Hey if you could travel for basically free, while spreading the word about a specific talent or skill you have, you’d do it too!

I also got a friend to come with me and split the gas cost so we could both make it here cheap. He’s also a musician who has never seen Nashville, we jam similar music so the drive was great. It’s nice scenery, you drive straight through downtown Atlanta skyline and then hit the first few crests of the Appalachian mountains. Chattanooga / south TN in particular is gorgeous.

He’s got an Instagram story of us flicking off Nissan stadium and yelling DUUUUUVALLL like total bros lmao. Id love to say it was ironic but it definitely felt great. Also he is wearing a Bold City Brigade (Jaguars tailgating club) shirt and I’m wearing my Jags to Riches shirt. I actually don’t think any of these east Nashville hipsters actually cares about the Titans though lol.

I don’t post often, I’m just here for the Cowboys shit-talk. I would take Watson over Dak 99.9% of the time, that 0.1% would be because Watson lost both his arms. I like Dak, but it is fairly clear that Watson has a lot more potential as of right now. I’d be happy to have either start, but gun to my head, I’m taking Watson.

Also, good for you @Randall Mentzos , do you ever play in/around Atlanta?

 

Dak has way more games playing above average than Watson and is healthy versus Watson's small sample.

But I doubt anyone here will agree with me on that.

 

Watson was unquestionably better than Dak was last year.

 

There are plenty of ways Dak was better than Watson and vice versa.

It just comes down to who you prefer.

 

I prefer the better player lol.

 

I love Dak. But 21 TDs in six games is better than 29 in 16.

If all you're going to do is count how many touchdowns a player gets and ignore all other information, sure.

 

That is what I'm going to do. Because 21 TDs in six games is impressive as shit.

 

Also, I’m willing to take the opinion of two of the best cornerbacks in the league when they say Watson is legit.

 

Yeah, it's definitely impressive.

Grrr I’m on your side of this argument and you’re still trolling me lol.

 

There’s a difference between “I think Dak will improve and Watson will regress in 2018” and “Dak is equal to or better than Watson.” The first is speculation that I agree with and it might be completely wrong. The second is just an incorrect statement based off of what they have done so far.

 

I think Watson will regress in the same manner that Dak did in that they were so great in their rookie season that it's almost impossible improve on those numbers across the board. The only thing Watson needs to improve on is being more careful with the ball and staying healthy and I hope he can do both. The league is more fun with the Texans being good.

Dak has to work on his pocket presence and going through his reads quicker and work on his accuracy. He's still very good at protecting the ball and rushing.

 

Looks like we have some of Gordon's story out. I think we actually knew about this, but we didn't know if/when a court case or anything was happening about his daughter.

It's kind of stupid because he could still go through this, work out with the team, and get his paychecks, but this really makes me think he didn't want to have to go through this with Hard Knocks there.

 

Man, he has so many issues going on but is so damn good.

I think the hyperbole of Dak is a little ridiculous, yeah he wasn't very good last year but I have no reason to believe he'll be a terrible quarterback from now on. Like KJ said, he was a 4th round pick and wasn't really projected to be a starting QB, let alone this early on in his career, so you've definitely gotten great value from that perspective. If I were to pick between him and Watson I would go Watson just because he has the playmaking ability to lead a team based on his talent alone, whereas I don't think Dak has that "it factor," he needs a solid team around him firing on all cylinders.

Back to Watson, I think his numbers will probably come back down to Earth a bit because they're unsustainable in a 16 game season, but from a pure talent standpoint he is better than Dak.
