Dak isn't a gunslinger like Wentz, so that explains why he has less turnovers but also shows that Wentz is able to put up eye-popping numbers.

Matt Stafford is a great QB btw. He's tough as nails.

Haha, come on man! You have to admit it's at least interesting how similar their stats are. One is clearly trending up, that much is clear, but I still stand by Dak not being nearly as bad as most people make him out to be.

 

Dak is fine. For being a 4th round pick, I'd say Dallas has done well for themselves. I think when you hang your hat on just a stat line, it sets up for a weak argument though. Like that turd Skip Bayless, who believes that QBR is the end all be all determinant for a QB.

Shannon Sharpe called him out this morning (yes, I was watching. I telework on Wednesdays and nothing else was on so FUCK OFF!) and asked him who led in QBR last year (it was Wentz) and Skip's retort was "well what about the last two years combined!!!" lol.

Will Dak ever be an all-pro/mvp level QB? I certainly don't think so. If anybody ever wins that type of accolade on that offense, its Zeke. But again, he's fine. He was a 4th rounder....with that considered, it's a homerun for Dallas.

 

We totally lucked out getting Dak in the 4th. We even had other quarterbacks ranked higher than him on our board who got drafted before we were able to get to him.

Dak is so efficient that if we go 13-3 and get the #1 seed again and he puts up a similar statline around 30 touchdowns and 10 turnovers or so, he will get some MVP votes again. Whether or not it's deserved over Zeke? Eh, it's almost universally a quarterback award. I would have zero problem with either of them winning it, haha

 

Just googled it and Dak had 1 MVP vote in 2016, Zeke had 6, and then Wentz had 2 MVP votes in 2017.

This division is a nightmare, lol

True competitors take losing personal. Probably his first time ever on a losing team. I knew right when the camera caught him tearfully saying “I’m tired of losing” that people were gonna use that screenshot to mock him.

But you know what he did after that? He stepped his game way up and started playing elite. I want to see ALL those emotions on the field cause I know he’s fully invested in our success.

Mock him if you want but he might make YOU feel like crying when he intercepts your QB lol

 

I totally agree and that's part of the reason I love Dez. Too often I'd see our players ho-humming around and Dez would be on fire screaming about how "we're better than this" and people would shit all over him and call him a thug.

I just thought the back and forth of that conversation with Tate and the reporter was funny.

Honestly the opposite happened. Bortles looks way more confident making quick decisions, and way more accurate after a year of practice versus the #1 secondary and DL

Hope it carries over into reg season games. Playing other teams live is obviously a different challenge and more pressure. But I watched live practices the last 3 years and he has never looked like that.
