Stats by themselves don't tell the full story, and I think Luck is overrated most of the time, but he is better than Cousins. I'd still put them in the same tier though, along with Stafford, Rivers, and maybe another quarterback or two.

 

Same here. Luck is in the same tier as Cousins. I'm not arguing Cousins is better, I'm just arguing that Cousins isn't that far down.

 

Mike Glennon got 18 a year last offseason so actually I think a ton of GMs would be foaming at the mouth

I mean it's fine if you rather have Blake Blortles as your QB (the same QB your OC couldn't trust to throw the football in the second half of the AFC championship but okay) over Andrew Luck - that's your prerogative

 

Ive always been on the luck is very good hype train but after a whole year of not knowing what is even going on I'm skeptical for now

 

Yeah, a healthy Luck has proven to be very good. We have no idea what we are getting still so I'm dialing down all the hype. Same with Watson (who Yahoo, the inferior fantasy product, ranks as like, the 6th best player or some crazy shit).

 

I do find comparing stats fascinating, even though they shouldn't be relied on by themselves.

Dak - 65.2% completion, 6,991 yards, 45 TD, 17 Int, 12 rushing TD, 13 fumbles
Wentz - 61.5% completion, 7,078 yards, 49 TD, 21 Int, 2 rushing TD, 23 fumbles

These two players are probably going to be locked together for their entire careers due to being drafted the same year and being in the same division. And they both have pretty high ceilings.

On a per game average, Wentz has higher number of attempts, completions, yards, and passing TDs since they rely on a pass heavy offense and we rely on a rush-first offense, which also explains why Dak has such a large amount of rushing TDs.

 

They're stats are so close together, it's almost eerie. I've seen splits where they compared their stats when both teams had their starters playing and it's damn near identical.

 

Holy fuck does Wentz fumble a lot lol

 

Off the top of my head, I would bet money most are from the 10 games where Lane Johnson was suspended in Wentz's rookie season. He was playing very well and then Johnson was gone and Wentz, and the Eagles in general, all went straight to the garbage can.

Edit: 11 of his fumbles were during that 10-game stretch, so I was kinda wrong on that one. They're evened out throughout all his games.
