Two things on the Eagles game tonight....

1) I'm elated that Sidney Jones plays for my football team. Grass monster got him tonight and he didn't come back after getting his ankle taped in the second quarter but he's fine.

2) I have no idea how in the fuck teams are going to guard a 2TE look from the Eagles. Namely when you roll out Alshon/Agholor/Ertz/Goedert/Sproles. Good luck.

I met Mike and Nate Kinsella what the FUCK

Mike literally asked me and my friend Derek our outlook on the Jags season. We talked about American Football with American Football the first and only time they’ve ever played in FL.

Curtis Samuel being healthy and drafting DJ Moore is gonna make this offense so much better. CJ Anderson is a nice upgrade over an old Stewart. Too bad the o-line has potential to be straight poop.

 

It looked like he was responding to Janoris Jenkins after he made a nice catch. They only threw the flag because he did the typical spinning of the ball on the ground to end the back-and-forth.

As someone who doesn’t take part in the national anthem for religious reasons, all of this rhetoric is extra obnoxious.

 

Bortles had a sick throw to Dede last night.

Our backup right tackle got beat immediately off the ball by the DE. Bortles made a decision in about a second flat, and let it rip downfield right as he was getting SLAMMED.

He’s always been bold in the pocket, but what’s new is, the ball was placed precisely. 25 yards downfield, he led Dede away from the CB, but also dropped the ball’s arc low so the safety couldn’t get it from over the top. Dede dove for it and was the only guy who could possibly catch it.

More of that Bortles. More of that. He also ended a scrimmage i attended with a 35 yard, back shoulder, corner of the end zone, low-aimed pass to Dede that got around Bouye. I also, at all 3 practices I attended, saw a lot of clean throws to Lee right in stride, including one he caught right over Jalen ramsey’s helmet. Which is huge, he and Lee have failed to connect and develop consistency in the past.

I know I’ve only seen camp and one preseason game, but to be fair he does have to practice against an elite defense. His ball placement and his conviction making decisions have both noticeably improved.

 

Kizer looked great in his first preseason game last year, right?
