Shazier is done, guys. It's sad to see.

 

I just hope he doesn't have to suffer post-NFL career but he probably will in a lot of ways. Hard to look at a short career and a potentially lifelong injury and say it was worthwhile for him. Money can only buy health to an extent.

It's important that we recognize that while we like the idea of a frivolous game played on a national scale, players are taking real serious long term risks out there to better their lives... and a lot of players do that rather than a "safer" career because they grew up in an area that didn't have other opportunities for them. The impact it has on poor POC communities, and the reasons why they sign up for something that could very well have them hurting for the rest of their lives, is a more important narrative than us wanting to keep score.

 

Forte had a nice, steady career. Good for him.

You're in NYC, pizza heaven. Like a decade ago I went there for a work trip, posted on AP asking for pizza recommendations; all great, though Johns on Bleecker was the best

 

Also, my fiance's family does Godfathers pizza every sunday after church, and that shit is the WORST. I'd do a Papa Johns pizza buffet before I'd touch Godfathers willingly.

...I really like Pizza Hut. Maybe because it was the only place that delivered to my house growing up so it’s nostalgia in the way. But I’m almost always up for an extra cheese pan pizza.

 

Never heard of this place but just looked it up, looks very similar to Mod Pizza. I guess we have a few here i'll have to try it out

 

I did the Pizza Hut lunch buffet for years, so Ive got the same nostalgia. I think they also did the cheese stuffed crust first, which I loved as a kid.

 

I just remembered that the old Pizza Hut by my house growing up is now a Comfort Dental which is hilarious to me for some reason

It's pretty great and my favorite personal pizza place to go to.

If not personal, I just go to a local place or little Cesar's.

 

Marco’s Pizza is pretty good, but I doubt that chain is large enough to land the deal. Papa John’s is ass, always has been and it will be until the end of time.

If I had to pick between huge chains to get deals on, it would be Pizza Hut or Hungry Howies. Howie’s deep dish is amazing
