I’m still like 90% sure the Giants are going OL, so if we did this, I would jump off a building

I love how Rich Cimini posts his Twitter Q&A as fact.

"I think it could happen, so let me post this cold hard fact."

If the Jets can move up again to get the best QB in the draft just by giving up a few mid-round picks, they should do it.

  7. Unless someone massively overpays I don't see the Giants moving back. It's not Gettleman's style. When he was in Carolina he always talked about taking your guy if he's there at your pick and not risking moving back and still getting him. Moving back one spot with a QB-needy team could be a different story (unless his guy is a QB), but I doubt the Jets are actually going to do that.

What if Buffalo offers them two 1sts, two 2nds, and then some? Gettleman would be an idiot not to take that deal.

Quenton Nelson is a great prospect, but he isn't worth the #2 overall pick or the ransom New York can demand for that pick.

  9. That's why I said unless someone massively overpays.

  10. But if he is eyeing a QB, and believes that guy is the future of the Giants, then he should turn it down.

The Giants should take a QB imo but I don't think they view Eli the same as we do. So I think they go with Nelson. Which still isn't a bad pick. They'll have to try hard to screw this one up.

Browns should trade down with the Jets if they want Darnold considering that the Browns do not want Darnold and the Giants do want Darnold.

Or the Browns should be not stupid and want Darnold.

By that criteria Jags should sign him tomorrow

Never said anything about the QB being GOOD at throwing in tight coverage lol

Dez should just go to GB. It'd be funny for an exact reason.

  21. I don’t even like Dez but I want him in Carolina. I’m desperate.

Dez gets off the plane and Rodgers greets him saying “it was a catch”

    Dez kills Rodgers

Like Swoos said, anybody would have to way overpay to move up to that spot. Wasting all of that to move up one pick, when it is possible that Rosen, Darnold or Allen will be available just doesn’t make sense. It makes sense for a team that is just a QB away from being a playoff team, not for the Jets.

We have a lot more holes than QB to fill, and throwing away those picks to get a guy that will have no supporting cast or OL isn’t going to do anything but set us back for another year, possibly two. At least now we have some mid-rounders to shore up other holes
