They seemed a little more immature, so I call you Mayfield’s Arm.

You are correct, he will be getting Mayfield's arm.

    The rivalry is back on

I just realized that the potential bright side of the McDaniels thing is that Mike Vrabel would likely be the Colts’ head coach if McDaniels would have handled the situation like a decent human being.

Nah it'd probably end up being Patricia

As far as I know, Patricia wasn’t interviewed, but Vrabel was the supposed runner-up

also, since the Draft thread got dwepped...

I just realized Tremaine Edmunds doesn't turn 20 until after the draft. Thats pretty crazy.

Yeah but I feel like that's partly because of the Colts zeroing in on McDaniels so hard. I feel like if that weren't the case, it'd be Vrabel and Patricia being interviewed instead, and Patricia would've won out.

But I could be entirely wrong of course

We don't know if vrabel will suck as much as people think yet, keep in mind they'll have a functioning offense for the first time in three years. They made good assistant hires unlike whisenhunt who hired a long time LB coach to be the OL coach.

Vrabel definitely has the potential to be good, he just only has like 10% of the good resume desired for a head coach

GMs obviously felt different but I also feel like this wasn't the best year to need a HC

Expected this. Sounds like Reich is the favorite in Indy to get the HC job there.

Eagles will probably elevate Duce Staley to OC and Mike Groh from WR to QB coach.

Dougie P is the playcaller so I don't really care what they do.

    Heh that’d be tight.

I can’t believe the Eagles are going to get at least a Top 64 pick for Nick Foles.

  19. What impressed me most with Foles in those last two games was his deep ball. Dude was on fire (stating the obvious). I think he’s more than a system QB. Minnesota would be a great fit for him considering the weapons they have. I doubt they move another first to Philly for a QB though lol

Foles has always had a cannon. Foles had that one incredible year with Chip Kelly and has made the rest of his name from the Andy Reid coaching tree. You just can't even pay attention to the year with Jeff Fisher. I think he's actually a pretty good QB.

If the Eagles keep him, it's only because they feel like Wentz is going to miss the first 4-6 weeks but other than that, he's gone pre-draft to the highest bidder. Eagles only have one pick in the first three rounds so this will help that.

If the Eagles do trade Foles, I'd be really curious to see what they do at QB if Wentz isn't ready to go for the first half of the season or whatever. A couple of guys out there (Tyrod Taylor, Teddy Bridgewater) that I'm intrigued by if they don't get a starter job somewhere signs a one year deal, comes in and starts the year and builds themselves up a bit and then leaves to a starter job in 2019.

Does a team sign either of those guys to be the bonafide starter?

They should, both are better than at least half the slated starters.

I saw Kaepernick up close in his final season with the Niners. He played with comparable talent as Jimmy. It wasn’t good. That’s not to say that he should be exiled from the league. This comparison is misleading, to say the least. Talent-wise, Kap belongs in the NFL as a back-up, bare minimum. He would compete for the starting job on 5+ teams. His market value took a huge hit during Harbaugh’s final season and Tomsula’s only season. Before Kap ever kneeled, it was a forgone conclusion that his time with the team was coming to an end and that the contract he was given was a mistake. He wasn’t headed for another giant pay day. I think the situation is very complex and deserves more discussion than “He deserves to be where Jimmy G is” or from other sides “Kap has decided to be an activist now because he’s not good enough to be in the league”.
