But it's also very common to have a foot of snow in the morning and by 4pm it's as if it never snowed

Oh yeah I hear that all the time haha. I have a friend in Colorado Springs. I'm not too worried about it. It'll be an adjustment haha. But you guys also don't have some of the dumb shit we have in the South so it's a fair trade off.

One of our worst snowstorms in the last 20 years was a week before my brother was born during spring break the first week of April in 2003. We had 6 feet of snow and everyone was trapped inside for like 4 days, we are all worried his mom was going to go into labor while we were trapped that would have been fun heh

So do you have like morning snowboarders in the spring? Like morning surfers in Hawaii / Cali lol gotta catch that snow swell before it melts

Also does this still mean you shovel snow in May? Or does it finally reach a point after 6 months of shoveling where everyone's just like "fuck it it'll melt I'm glad I have a truck" haha

The mountains are totally different in terms of how much snow they get/how long it takes to melt, they usually get much more snow than the metro area. They also use artificial snow if they don't get enough natural snow so you can ski/snowboard all day.

And yeah most people don't even bother shoveling unless their house is covered by a big shadow, then it'll never melt. They do a pretty good job plowing the roads, but most of the time in the Spring the ground doesn't get cold enough for it to stick.
