man, this thread really ruined how exciting the Jimmy G news was. gonna suck every time a new QB contract comes out - going to launch 167 pages of arguments that somehow, inexplicably, lead to fucking Jags talk.

 

We're all just antsy over the big mystery of the offseason: Who is the Browns' QB?

 

I literally just reread it and we hardly mentioned the Jags haha. At least that backs up the fact you didn’t read it.

 

Not gonna lie, I never read any of that shit. If it's not a tweet or under two sentences I'm moving on to the next post. Read way too much for work / fun to read walls of bickering text from strangers (no offense).

Assuming Cousins gets a similar-ish deal, the four highest paid NFL QBS will have a combined 0 playoff wins.

 

Jimmy G has two rings thank you very much.

Jimmy G > Dan Marino.

 

Rings won by the 14th highest paid QB.

 

Assuming only Cousins gets a new deal (which is unlikely), the top 10 in AAV will be kind of amazing. Top 7 will be guys that Im not sure are believably Super Bowl QBs before 2020 (whether because of roster, injury, or Jon Gruden)...and next 3 are likely to contain at least one SB QB in 2018

Cousins | Jimmy G | Stafford | Carr | Luck | Smith | Flacco

Rodgers | Wilson | Ben

And not included will be every QB from the last 3 Super Bowls (and only 1 from the last 5). That Joe Flacco is the highest paid SB winning QB right now speaks a lot to timing with contracts

 

Oh man. Someone texted Ron Borges pretending to be Brady's agent saying if Brady didn't get Jimmy G money he was going to sit out OTAs and Borges ran with it right away.
