compared to what the market is, $7 million is peanuts for a decent/ascending WR. Watkins got $16 million/year, RObinson got $14 million/year, Marqise Lee got $9 million/year. Landry is going to get $15+ million/year in all likelihood.

any amount is a lot for Torrey Smith because he is terrible.

 

You took stats from an injured season and used it to try to make a point about Hurns being unproductive. You also ignored the season he had that earned him his contract in the first place and proved that he is way better than Moncrief

The Moncrief signing is an F you will not change my mind. To me you sound desperate not to hate this move. Just hate it. Its awful and everyone else in the thread, inclduing this manic Jags optimist, agrees.

 

Assuming he’s (hopefully) not on a contract like that awful Ravens contract, is Ryan Grant a remotely interesting signing or nah?

I never said we were set at WR. But Smith is still better than Dameire Byrd and Russell Shepard. And Samuel will probably end up as the #2.

 

I Don't think hes "so good", however I think he is an ascending player that fits what Miami wants to do with their slot. Hes 25 years old and was stuck behind an elite TE and an elite deep threat in Tyreek Hill on a run-first offense. as an example from the draft- Calvin Ridley is already 23.

 

Oh yeah he won't stay WR2 but him currently being WR2 is troubling. Hey, maybe you can get Allen Hurns!
