Can't wait for people that spend all day watching All-22 film to tell me he's going to make some great impact.

    The rivalry is back on

I’m interested to see what happens with WR this year. I think mocks are understating how quickly WRs will fly off the board. Not sure if he’ll be there at the top of the 2nd

Nelson Agholor went in the first. Will Fuller did too. I think more go than people think. I'm seeing Calvin Ridley being taken in the 20s as the only receiver in the 1st. I don't know about that.

Agreed. I think someone takes Ridley in the teens at the absolute latest (maybe earlier) and 2-4 more guys go by the end of round 1.

It also wouldn’t surprise me if this year’s big reach is someone grabbing a WR way too early.

Yeah Ridley is not a top ten pick but I could see him in the mid-teens easily. Reaching for a receiver in the 20s would be SO hard. There are like six or seven guys you could justify taking there haha.

Good. Obviously not a game-changer, but, as a mix of on-field leader + box safety, thats what we needed. He's not gonna be worse than Mitchell, and we needed someone to step in for losing Shazier's leadership.

Also, with the steelers running so much Nickel and Dime, he can also potentially swap in to shadow a TE specifically. Think he played a little of everything in GB

NFL sets new definition for controversial catch rule

“Slight movement of the ball, it looks like we’ll reverse that. Going to the ground, it looks like that’s going to be eliminated. And we’ll go back to the old replay standard of reverse the call on the field only when it’s indisputable.”

The new catch rule, Vincent said, will require only that a receiver have control of the football, and any slight movement of the football in the receiver’s hands detected via replay review would not result in an incompletion.

The new rule will eliminate the requirement that a receiver who is in the process of going to the ground while making a catch must maintain control of the football while on the turf to be awarded a legal catch.

The replay standard for overturning an on-field ruling of a catch will be indisputable video evidence rather than clear and obvious.

“The Dez Bryant play, that’d be a catch” under the new rule, Vincent said, mentioning a series of controversial non-catch calls over the years. “The Jesse James play, that’d be a catch.”
