holy shit i just read some forum posts from 1995 and it's hilariously sad and kind of soul crushing that people complained in forums over 20 years ago the same way we do now.

like, i get people sitting in bars or with friends complaining about their team losing or trading players, but seeing it in a forum from the mid-90's (which, by the way, i didn't even know really existed back then lol) and using pretty much the same terminology and fighting and bickering the same way people do now makes me sad that we never seem to evolve as a species

i was reading an an article about "trades that almost happened" and one of the entries talked about how you could "still read how upset fans were in live time in 1995 when the trade was proposed" and it was linked to a Google page or something that had the forum screenshots.

was pretty wild.

i didn't know such things existed in 95
