Eh. More expensive, more traffic, same bullshit. I'm sure they have plenty of great restaurants and clubs... all with art deco design and all in huge concrete parking lots off congested boulevards, with no nature except palm trees.

You hate temperatures below 65 degrees though so in that instance yeah you'd prefer South Florida lol

 

Honestly I love no nature except palm trees and sand, I'm for it

 

My favorite part about Fort Lauderdale was seeing like 20 palm trees in a semicircle surrounding a KFC, it felt like a perfect summary of Florida

What? I don't have to live in nature. I can go visit nature, I don't have to spend every day in it.

 

I don’t like beaches/swimming.

 

It's super easy to go out of your way to enjoy nature in a place that isn't your city, I'd rather live in the city and go enjoy nature elsewhere than the opposite.

Florida is such a damn parody of itself haha. It's really not beautiful at all, it's just marketed that way and man-made. When you really look at palm trees compared to other trees they are the ugliest tree. Second worst is pine trees and that's the only other tree common in Florida. Aside from beaches Florida is flat and swampy. Look at pictures of Miami, even. It doesn't look pretty at all, big city with lots of big buildings but it's like a robot designed the city.

 

Funny thing.. I was working at this particular data center that morning. lol

I work for a generator/backup battery company so we had to be there to supervise/support just in case the backup batteries failed

I love palm trees. I mean, if you look at them close they're definitely ugly but that's basically how flowers are too. I like them, I think they're cool.

I've gone on so many damn camping trips and seen so many things that I can't bring myself to care THAT much

Would much rather live in a concrete jungle on a beach

 

Also my SO and I are seeing the LEGO movie tonight, probably way too excited lol

 

Know why I love the ocean? Because I've seen less than 1% of the less than 1% we've discovered that lives in the ocean, because I'm fuckin TERRIFIED of it. I think it's the most beautiful thing on earth that I can't bring myself to explore.
