Greenwood Village!

 

Was it the greatest rock band in the world, The National?

My company owns the Lexus in Greenwood Village

 

They're a great band but their sound doesn't cover enough ground for me to give them that kind of praise. The greatest bands of all time imo all went through several evolutionary phases and kind of shifted along with changes in music culture.

I'll admit though Death Cab has come back down to Earth and aren't as amazing of a band since Walla left. I like the new record & Kintsugi alright, but not as much as their first 6 albums

No its crazy because they are very diverse and have evolved with each album.

But most of all, im trolling dustin not actually bejng serious so stop this haha

 

Having diversity over the years can be a great thing for long-lasting bands, but it's not a necessity by any means.

For me it is. Otherwise I'm only really gonna listen to the band's best album and consider the other albums less good versions of the same thing.

The National is cool and highly intelligent songwriting, but all their albums fit the same exact mood

 

We shipped out a small pod and then we've got a full trunk and roof rack. Definitely purged a lot of stuff though haha.

 

Not to the extent of other indie-rock classics such as Built to Spill and Modest Mouse

 

What did i JUST SAY

 

The National is great, but “diverse” is not a word I would use to describe their songwriting

 

Modest Mouse isnt very good. and yeah I'd take the National over Built to Spill

I'm not a huge Mouse fan but from an "influence on music" perspective I certainly respect their trajectory and all the different directions they pursued. Like, Building Something Out Of Nothing is an ENTIRELY different album from Lonesome Crowded West is ENTIRELY different from Good News etc.

As for the second statement, that just kinda demonstrates our differences as music fans haha. Built To Spill has far more interesting instrumentation, The National has much more intelligent songwriting.

Oh yeah i get that Modest Mouse is very influential and they have some really good stuff. They're just part of a group of indie rock bands i dont really care for
