They do get credit for drafting Khalil Mack.

But one other thing to note is that they traded a 1st for Richard Seymour. While Seymour was a great player before going to Oakland, the pick was a 2011 1st, aka one of the most loaded 1st rounds of our lifetime.

And they traded another 1st for Carson Palmer

Damn yeah they have not been smart aside from the most obvious choice ever

Yeah but I’m gonna make a lot more just switching full time to the new spot

  12. What can a full time server make a year at a high end restaurant and would it be worth it as a career? Are there career servers doing it because they want to, or just because they have to?

The way time works leads me to believe you either did this wrong or this isn't true haha.

no literally dinner servers at the new spot make more than I would make working lunch there and dinner at CH.

I could make good money at any other Chart House but the one in Jax seriously suffers to maintain consistent volume

    1) In most scenarios, a fine dining server makes between 35k & 55k per year, depending on the economy of that area and how popular the restaurant is with the locals.

    2) In the SUPER ritzy spots however, the best of the best can make 65-85k. I'm not at THAT level yet. But that's also really not as much money as it used to be.

    3) It's worth it short term but long term it can really get hard on your body as you get older. Like, if you're an older server you probably have bad knees, hips, feet & back. It's also a very high stress fast paced job and while you develop thick skin, it definitely wears on you, dealing with tempers & expectations running high all the time at work. You can brush it off so many times but it'll still get you down from time to time.

Hell's Kitchen / Kitchen Nightmares exaggerates this, but not by much: Restaurant managers are always pissed off / better off if you avoid them and stay under the radar, and some customers will be uppity and dissatisfied no matter how good of a job you did.

    4) I think 95% of career servers got stuck doing it because they never advanced their career skills. Which is not a situation I want to be in, hence why I want to get programming certified by the time I'm 30 (so a year and a half.) Some older servers like their work but I think that's pretty rare haha. I also find that a lot of career servers are alcoholics / cokeheads / pill poppers & stay because they can still function in this kind of environment and not get fired.

If I was well-off I’d go to Jags Broncos, Jags Texans, and Jags Falcons. I’m gonna have to choose one between them if I can even go to one.

Maybe if Jags Saints is near my mom’s birthday or Christmas I’ll buy her a ticket and go to that instead.

But I’ve been to the Superdome, haven’t actually been to the cities Denver Atlanta or Houston let alone their stadiums (only have driven through Atlanta a couple times). That’s my thing, I want to attend every NFL stadium in my life time so new ones are always a plus
