Does your company ever rent out rooms in places like Chart House to have meetings? My new second job at Bistro X has a conference / private room as well.

 

Our guitars would be so great together

 

I used to want that guitar SO badly

Still do of course but yeah that was my dream guitar for a long time haha

 

We have town hall rooms and training rooms that we would do any big meetings in. And we have an onsite bistro that would cater as part of our agreement with the catering company.

If there is an event that would have a dinner attached to it, then we would go rent out a room at a restaurant but it would just be social.

 

Yeah, mine isn't an actual '69 Thinline Tele (which would cost thousands above my price range), and it's not the shitty "reissue" that Fender did. It's from a custom shop and they basically made the guitar as true to the original as they could, top to bottom. The all-rosewood neck / headstock / fingerboard is what did it for me.

 

Gotcha. I'm just always curious about the lives of people whose company pays for the fancy meals at the places I serve haha. Dressed in suits but looking like they're having a bomb time. Would you say that those kinds of things are common?

They might be common for the WEALTHY ELITE of the company. But not us peons. Like, if I get handed box seats to the Sixers or Phillies it's because 1000 other people said no already.

The higher ups do fanicer things like that, spend all this money, and then the WORKING CLASS of the company gets poop raises to "save on expenses".

Do they make you do this? Some companies don't do this for their back-end employees, but I imagine most people who work in Finance / Accounting are expected to be super polished. (as well as Sales)
