There’s a data center down somewhere across the country so we can’t do any work until it is back to normal. So I’m sitting witnessing two guys argue about being able to have a formulated opinion on a city whether you have been there or not

Nah, just mildly salty that you’ll never give Baltimore any credit / a chance just because you saw “stats” about how much crime is in parts of it that I easily avoided

Hahaha, I loved living there my dude. Totally changed my mind about the city.

 

A friend of mine is from Portsmouth and my wife and I visited her last summer. That area is really beautiful. I'd like to go back during the fall.

Denver area is pretty. Denver skyline is... meh. Not enough architecture going on in there.

I personally love Florida.

But the driving might be the worst in the country. Too many old folk who should have had their licenses revoked 40 years ago.

 

Florida is 100% the scariest place I’ve ever driven in, in terms of other drivers

 

I’m also glad we don’t have an abundance of tacky skyscrapers it doesn’t feel like you’re trapped in a cement bubble like in NYC

 

Des Moines,Iowa for all to see in its full glory.

 

This part though, i haven’t been to a single city on the east coast that doesn’t underfund it’s minority-dominant neighborhoods. It’s def not just a Baltimore thing.

That shit is disgusting everywhere and politically those neighborhoods can’t get enough lobbying / votes to get politicians to revitalize them. All over the US this is an issue.

That said, the center of Baltimore is very racially diverse and has options affordable to both upper class and working class. And that is something you can’t say about every city. More expensive cities tend to be more “segregated” in that sense. Like how you don’t see ANY black or brown people at ALL in downtown Nashville.

Dallas skyline rules and DFW in general have some amazing museums.
