this is an old conversation but I somehow managed to only spend $120 for three nights at an airbnb like a mile away from the stadium the festival was at in LA and that was wild. house was super nice also.

 

as an uncaring bystander to how the Eagles / most teams make things work or don't work, what is the benefit of the player doing this? is the "missing money" (i'll call it that for lack of a better term) reassigned as a signing bonus or added to a future year's salary? or does he just like the team so much that he was fine with losing 6M?

 

Typically it’s an implied or unimplied “you should accept this or we might cut you and you’ll get just your buyout money”

Or you get your money sooner if it’s a signing bonus so it’s not a big deal and is a win/win

 

In McLeod's case, he is coming off ACL/MCL tears and the alternative was probably getting cut for cap reasons. This gives him a starting job next year in a system he's familiar with and has played well in, something he isn't guaranteed if he doesn't accept the restructure.

I don’t think he’s ever been anything more than average in Philly. He’s had some really good stretches but as a whole, no, I don’t think he’s much more than just a guy.
