That surprises me. I think he did a very good job turning the season around after the Cooper trade, but I like the idea of not extending him and seeing how he does with Moore as OC now.

Late to the party here by like 39 fucking pages but:

When Phantom Menace came out in 1999 I was in 5th grade, bought into the hype and somehow got tickets for opening day for me and my friends (well, my mom did) and I ended up front row with a bunch of dressed up older people who looked weird but I realized later weee dressed as characters.

I had seen the original trilogy maybe once or twice and they were okay or whatever to me but I wasn’t a huge fan.

I look back at that time and wonder why I was at the theater on opening day for a movie / series I didn’t really care about and I can honestly say I thought that at the time as well as people were cheering, gasping and crying.

 

49ers history is weird.

They had Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, and Steve Young in 1999 with Jeff Garcia backing him up and Mariucci as coach, and still went 4-12

Then they go to the playoffs at 12-4 and 10-6 in 2001 & 2002, winning a playoff game in 2002 by coming back from 38-14 to a 39-38 win... and then the 49ers FIRED Steve Mariucci? What??
