One of my favorite parts of the DC / Baltimore area is Maryland has a ton of GORGEOUS winding, forested country roads in between those cities. It’s a very densely populated area, but no matter where you live it’s easy to get away and get some gorgeous nature & fresh air

 

Granted it may not be as scenic as cities in the mountains are, but in terms of sea-level areas, Maryland / Baltimore / DC is gorgeous

 

I'm not even born & raised in NJ, but I have to say that this is just untrue. Outside of the Linden/Elizabeth/Newark area and the Philly-adjacent refineries, NJ is a very clean state. Almost the entire shore line is full of nice beaches (and breweries ).


Sure, there are some poor areas with opiate problems, but name one state that doesn't have that.

 

I’ve mostly been between Philly and NYC. I’m thinking of route 1 in Central Jersey & the NY / NJ turnpike, which are two of the worst drives I’ve experienced haha.

Im sure south Jersey and northwest Jersey are considerably less like that.

 

I'm not big on Jersey beaches at all

That’s just the northeast. i didn’t care for the beach much either when I lived up there.

 

Beaches are lame

 

Nah I love the Outer Banks. Great beaches there.

 

When I think of like any beach, it definitely isn't anywhere north of Virginia

 

They’re natural wonders you’re just a grumpy old man

 

Not most diverse, no haha. Seattle is more diverse. Thats why i included the part about the price. Randall thinks an 11 dollar burger is bad? Try a 12 dollar standard breakfast (eggs, bacon, grits, and toast)

 

I hate sitting on a beach for hours

walking the boardwalk, etc is fine but the beach itself is trash

 

When I went to Seattle I had a giant hummus plate, like I’m talking meal-size, and a large glass of wine on tap for a total of $11

Went to another place that had salad bar with unlimited refills for $5

While Seattle is mostly expensive, unusually cheap places exist there too

 

PNW and Maine are the exceptions

 

Fact: people who go to beaches and don’t actually swim are doing it wrong

Yeah I hate “sitting on the beach for hours” too haha

I swear to you all Hawaii beaches are one of the top 5 nature spots in the 50 states

Nothing compares. I’ve been to plenty of the Caribbean (been on 4 cruises in my life) and none of those islands I’ve been to hold a CANDLE to Hawaii

 

went to Cabos for my honeymoon and you couldn't swim at the beaches because the surf would kill you. so that was super disappointing.

pool was nice though lol

 

Cruises are also terrible
