Sounds like someone who's never been to the Smithsonian haha

Every time i go there I end up stretching it and making it a longer trip than I planned because there's just SO MUCH CONTENT in the Smithsonian. It's definitely not like any old museum. It's 11 COST-FREE world-class museums including the largest natural science / history museum in the country.

Food and weather (well and cost of living) are definitely most important

I would also definitely say DC is a better city for foodies than Atlanta because it's so international

I mean I guess haha. And I have never been to the Smithsonian, definitely need to make that happen at some point. My point still remains that museums wouldn't even be in the top.....8 reasons to move to a city haha.

Museums fall under culture. Culture is definitely a reason.

Here's the main thing Atlanta has over DC:

It's suburbs are nicer, cheaper, and more filled with nature

In terms of having a cozy home in the area. That's definitely a lot easier in Atlanta. Beautiful homes in DC are strictly for the rich haha. But if I WAS rich then Adams Morgan / Northwest DC would be a great spot. Would love to be on the cliffs of the Potomac in Brookmont / Great Falls area as well.

Top 5 food cities in the US?

I'll take a shot, no order. Only cities I've been in/eaten a good amount of food.

    Los Angeles
    NYC
    Seattle
    Milwaukee (hometown bias)
San Francisco (the whole bay area, berkeley and oakland are almost equally as good)

I sorta agree with this, but having spent a ton of times in the Atlanta suburbs, they seems sooo snooty to me. I don't think I could live there.

I'd be willing to put New Orleans in my top 5 food cities without having gone. I just know its top 5.

Oh any top food cities list without New Orleans on it is WRONG

That city is legitimately internationally known as one of the US's prime food destinations.

I was in New Orleans once, for a work conference, and the food was so disappointing. I really need to go back. I didn't really have any freedom in choosing places and we went to the worst spots.

Denver has a pretty annoying, very hectic airport too.

    Nashville's airport is pretty nice.

Dulles in DC is terrible. Reagan is great. BWI is meh, busy and boring.

Jacksonville & New Orleans have really sad tiny airports.

Minneapolis has a huge one that seems way too big for the amount of volume it actually handles.

Haven't been to any others recently, I drive everywhere lately.
