I don’t know how a place called Shake Shack charges THAT much for THAT shake and is still in business

 

That's a weak ass argument and you know it lol. Just cause you maybe went out to eat a total of 6 times the whole 2 years you lived here does not mean there's nothing but chain restaurants. Come on, at least be creative & realistic.

I guess Red Robin still existing is a good counter to my point about Shake Shack

 

The $20-$23 salmon, that comes with two sides of your choice instead of french fries, is a better deal.

I'm not saying I never spend more than $11 on myself at a restaurant. I'll spend $30-$40 once in awhile if the food is that good. What I'm saying is, when I get in the mood for a burger, I go to a place that has really cheap & really good burgers because that's not hard to find.

 

Is there any better side than steamed broccoli?

I went to BJ’s last month and it was like $13 for a burger and I hated it because I could have went to another place for the same thing.

 

@Dinosaurs Dish just kidding. I like broccoli. Especially if I can reverse all of it's healthy traits by dipping it in a small side of garlic butter.

 

I think I just love broccoli to an extreme level. I could eat it every day prepared in any way and would love it.

 

I like broccoli as well but I can think of like 25 sides I would prefer over broccoli

I love collard greens but only if the place knows how to REALLY make them. It's ideal if they have Texas Pete green pepper sauce.

Otherwise give me garlic sauteed spinach or grilled asparagus as my vegetable.

I will say this. When a place offers mac & cheese as a side, which is seemingly getting more common, that shit is mean. They're making you an offer you won't refuse. But you know that cheese is too heavy and you're not gonna want to finish it by the time you eat your main course.

 

This restaurant doesnt have salmon. You know menus arent universal right?
12 for an 8oz locally raised burger is perfectly fine haha

 

Grilled asparagus is a very consistent side, I am pro-asparagus

They're as good as anywhere else I've had a burger. It is locally raised beef & sourced ingredients. The single-patty starts at $4.25 and a lot of the toppings are free.

That's why i used to love Five Guys.

 

We have some pretty great burgers here

I don't think Texas is top of the nation or anything (I'm sure there are some states that can make a better burger) but yeah we can make a quality ass burger that's worth paying extra for

 

Shit the fine dining restaurant & country inn I worked at in Flint Hill, VA, near Shenandoah Valley, which drew a lot of rich people that owned land / went on nice vacations....

Even they sold a $8 burger in the bar at lunch. From local beef farms. Shit was delicious.
