Yeah it's annoying as hell to state something you like (or maybe an opinion that you enjoyed one thing more than another) and it's met with "Well what about X / well Y makes no sense / have you considered Z" and it's just like...well I just enjoy this thing, let me enjoy the thing please.

It's why I don't heavily post about music.

I went to college. I was an extremely anxious person at the time and couldn’t handle it. I’m hoping I can just use my existing credits to get my Associate’s and then get certified in tech / software development so I don’t have to go back. Would much rather pay a few grand for a coding boot camp than tens of thousands going back to a university

The goal is to make more money. Ideally I can do that without higher mountains of student loans

 

Oh yeah I did this too kinda sorta (not for coding for other stuff)

So I guess I will have been to 4 schools post-HS

 

I never finished college either, but if I did, I'd like to go into speech pathology.

 

I wish you would more often. Because sometimes you have a tendency to talk down another person’s opinion and presume the argument to be strictly objective.

My main thing I tend to disagree with you on: you look for the “angle” that makes the most sense to you, and dismiss all the others. It’s an efficient way to be decisive, but I feel like that can be kinda harsh inndiscussions that have multiple valid “angles”... and at those times you should be more clear about “in my opinion that doesn’t matter”.

 

I'm majoring in Business Management but heavily considering changing that to Accounting and leaving this job for an accounting job post-college

Love Star Wars. Everything about it. Top three would be Empire, A New Hope, TFA.

The prequels were bad, yes, but they gave us the Clone Wars cartoon, which was excellent. Ahsoka Tano is a top 3 Star Wars character.

Star Wars Rebels is also very very good.

Star Wars Resistance...isn't great. It's been a slog to get through the first 5 episodes.

With what you're referring to i will work on that haha. only because football does have objective and subjective sides. Enjoyment of entertainment doesnt though. So like, when i say Foxing was the best album of 2018 it should automatically be understood that that's my opinion because there isnt a way to interpret that statement as objective.

 

I’ve thought about accounting too. I’d be good at it. Mathematical thinking and problem solving was my strong suit in school.

Major misconception is that Accounting = heavy math. It's more rule based. The math is not complicated. It's why can you do things or not do things that is complicated.

 

I've been pivoted into being the "accounting resource" at my job already (without any notification of an official promotion yet - raise/promotion info coming up in the next 2 wks!) so this might end up being the path I'm on already haha

Dustin as an accountant makes so much sense because he's basically Ben Wyatt.

Randall as an accountant does not make sense because he's basically Andy Dufrane.
