Battlefront II was a perfect shooter. I never played Jedi Academy but I played Jedi Outcast and it was fun.

My favorite Star Wars games were the Age Of Empires-esque ones because of course they were

 

I enjoy them and go see them in theaters but that is more out of a desire to avoid spoilers than it is out of excitement to see them

Same thing with Marvel really

 

The only ones i would say you "have" to see are IV and V and thats purely from a film history perspective. If you don't care about that then whatever but if you're going through important films, especially sci-fi, you cant skip IV and V

 

Marvel is a universe where I have the @Dinosaurs Dish take. Like, if it looks REALLY interesting to me and a good amount of people I trust like it + a group is going, I might go, but otherwise I'll probably sit it out.

 

I love the X-Men movies, primarily because of the main actors in them, but otherwise I don't care about the Marvel movies. I haven't seen all of them but the ones I have seen are pretty middle of the road and not memorable to me.

 

Academy was a lot better imo. It played more like an RPG. And the online was amazing. My main online was Jabba the Hutt wielding a purple staff

Yesss those were great. Bounty Hunter and Episode I on PS1 were the only ones I've played and didnt love. Pod Racer for N64 is legendary.

 

@CarpetElf I have been slammed at work this week and as a result have not had any time to make any sort of plan of where to go in Houston. Can you or your friends pick out a BBQ place near where you're at that sounds good?

 

I actually loved Episode I on PS1 too hahaha. Bounty Hunter wasn't very good. Episode I Racer was PERFECT, I spent so much time playing it.

 

Me too. I'm a John Dorsey of Marvel/Star Wars/any movie. I don't need those fuckin' nerds telling me how to react to a movie.

I was very bad at Episode I and i also played it for the first time in like 2008 so it may have just been a little outdated for my dumb eighth grade brain.

 

That said, I do have a pretty definitive Star Wars movie rankings:

New Hope
Return of the Jedi
Force Awakens
Revenge of the Sith
Last Jedi
[really big gap]
Phantom Menace
[extremely fucking big gap]
Attack of the Clones

I might need to rewatch Last Jedi - it definitely could jump Revenge of the Sith upon a rewatch

Rogue One was better than Solo but both are in the huge gap between Phantom/Attack and the others for me

 

Yeah I mostly agree with this.

The only difference is that typically the hype I hear about the movies is the inverse of how much I like the movie. If I go in hearing it’s a groundbreaking new Marvel movie, I’m very underwhelmed (Guardians 1, Deadpool, Black Panther), and when it’s not hyped or gets lukewarm reception (for a Marvel movie anyways), I’m very pleasantly surprised and enjoy it a lot (Ant Man, Infinity War, whatever the most recent Thor movie is)

 

The latest Spiderman was very good and people seemed to hate it.

 

My only real exposure to Marvel takes is this website so it's hard for me to tell what's considered hyped and what isn't

I have a confession

aside from the first two Iron Man movies and half of Ant-man and Guardians of the Galaxy, I have not seen any of the Marvel movies

 

I really aim to put "in my opinion" in my movie takes because it's incredibly annoying when someone counters your belief to impose their opinion. (Not attributing this to sports thoughts.) AKA why I don't bother too much in the Marvel threads in the Entertainment Forums.

 

Oh god yes haha. So good. I am colossally bummed the MMO didnt really pan out
