Watching old games and playing 'what if' like that is only going to raise your blood pressure.

 

Watched the Last Jedi again last night and its probably #4 for me in the series.

 

I think I'd put it at 3rd or 4th behind Empire and Force Awakens and maybe A New Hope.

 

Yeah I'd say #4 or #5

 

I mean there is no “what if”, even if the refs called it fair, we still can’t say for sure the Jags would’ve won. But it just sucks that we’ll never know.

I only wish we could have seen a more honest outcome to that game; rather than having the true competition spoiled by errors with enforcing the rules.

The way the game was being called, had a LOT to do with why the Jags stopped calling their bread and butter plays, and collapsed so hard. It feels like we didn’t even get an honest sample of the Jaguars’ team & strengths in the end of that game. Felt like a farce. And that’s a sad way to end your best season in 18 years.

Any team would have struggled to retain a strong identity / gameplan in that scenario.

Speaking of Star Wars, is anyone else not a HUGE fan of them in general? Like, they're fun to watch and I enjoy them, but I'm in no way emotionally connected to any of them and don't go out of my way to see them. I saw TFA in theaters because a ton of friends were all going together but I didn't see TLJ or Solo in theaters and didn't really care to.

 

I'll go out of my way to see main series Star Wars (didn't for Solo) and enjoy them a lot, but like...I'm not the person to fight over plot holes or inconsistencies or care SO much about it hahaha. It's just like "yeah this is fun".

I'm very much the opposite. I grew up on Star Wars. Played the games, read the books watched the movies hundreds of times. I'll see every single movie in theaters at midnight. No joke, Dana Farber let me push back the start of chemo a week so it didn't get in the way of a new star wars movie coming out haha

I think the fact that I didn't watch any of them until I was 18 or 19 years old is the main reason I'm not invested in them really.

 

lol i lucked out. My doctor was also a Star Wars dweeb and i think he could tell morale was gonna be down if i had to miss it or go in with a mask.

 

Yeah i love the series and the universe so I'll excuse anything haha. Im aware it's very flawed and i do not care.

Also, the run of Star Wars video games in the early 2000s was the peak era of video games and i cannot be convinced otherwise.

Exactly! Like, people have major nostalgia goggles for the original trilogy and roast the shit outta the newer movies as if the original movies were perfect and SO different than what's coming out now. No, they're heavily flawed and still fucking awesome hahahaha.

I'm trying to remember which SW games were in the early 2000s but there were only like 3-4 Star Wars games all time that I HAVEN'T liked.

 

I have TLJ as either #2 or #3 for me

 

Rogue One is in my top 2 which I know is not a popular take

 

Yeah the prequels were still fun haha. I have the high ground! I hate sand.

Jedi Academy and Battlefront II are two of my top five games ever.
