I think I'd have a better time at a Super Bowl if it wasn't my team involved.

If we ever get back there, I think I would have to watch it at home alone. Or at a friends' house that I know won't be distracting or something.

 

Yea and when you're in the superbowl every year, why not save a few bucks

I always watch all my teams' "big games" at home. I wouldn't be able to handle being at a Super Bowl party with my team playing

I watch the big games at my parent's house. It's the perfect mix of fun social environment that will also know to shush when the ref is making an announcement haha

I watched both videos. From your video you can’t tell cause it’s not a good angle, but Hitchens pushed Pettigrew FIRST and Pettigrew grabbing him was a reaction to that, cause he almost got pushed off balance while he was backpedaling

Absolutely was PI. Not an intentional PI, but the LB didn’t properly turn around and locate the ball, was just poor coverage technique and he ran into him. But Hitchens definitely made first contact

I'm hosting my first SB party and I can't even tell you how excited I am that the Pats are playing. I might have to take the day after off to clean my apartment since everyone I invited last week is now coming, lol.

 

Players hand fight and grab on every single play. But grabbing someone's jersey for a split second or wrist is one thing, grabbing someone's facemask and pulling it down toward the ground and then pulling it towards yourself is something else entirely.

He literally couldn't turn his head and body around BECAUSE Pettigrew was grabbing and moving his head around like a bobble head toy.

That’s a major stretch man haha Hitchens pushed him backward right when the ball was about to get there. That’s PI right there before the facemask even happened. Pettigrew grabbing back was an impulse reaction to the illegal contact

We’re not talking about within 5-10 yards, this happened downfield. You’re not allowed to hand fight like that at all with the ball in the air. Whoever struck first is the one who should get called interference because it’s only natural to reach out and grab something in response when you’re knocked off course.

I guarantee I can find dozens of plays in every game that the defender and wide receiver are hand fighting and grabbing each other's jerseys, hands, and arms when the ball is in the air. If you think that should have been called, there would be flags on pretty much every play that a receiver isn't wide open without anyone within five yards of him.

You're not allowed to grab a players facemask and jerk it around.

 

i have found it's mostly people who make a point to say they only care about the commercials and a few random people who think it's still funny to make "sportsball!!" comments.
