No idea. I’d like to see them sign Mark Ingram and draft a guy like Josh Jacobs in the 1st or 2nd from Bama.

They need a three down back (a young one) with some veteran presence. Sounds like Sproles is going to play one more which is fine but he needs a much lesser role than he played this year.

I expect a vastly different backfield next years.

Dak did get a lot of praise in 2016. I’d argue too much praise, to be honest. But I also heard a lot about how it was his team around him and not him carrying the team, which was largely true.

But when it comes to Wentz and he has a stacked team, all wins are contributed to him but every loss is blamed on anyone else besides him. I just find it inconsistent.

I’d love to see them sign Ingram, but I get the feeling he may take a discount to stay in NO. I had thought about Tevin Coleman as well, but then he had such a poor season with the Falcons this past year so idk

Wentz is absolutely overrated. That doesnt mean he also isnt great. Dak is also underrated. That doesnt mean he isnt 12th-16th haha.

Though the injury prone thing is absolutely a fair knock on Wentz.

Yeah he had an opportunity to earn a starting job and good money and failed. Yeldon actually did better than him haha

Ingram, Jacobs and Clement would be ideal. I still think they may try to get Ajayi to take a one year deal.

The other thing I think is this....

Wentz in his rookie year was average at best. His skill position players were absolute toilet water so I think most gave him a pass.

Last season with some added skill players, he looked primed to run away with the MVP prior to the devastating injury which shouldn’t label him as “injury prone”....his leg got sandwiched and destroyed by two dudes at full speed. That’s not injury prone—-that’s just shitty luck.

Then this year he was good...not great but as many orthopedic surgeons have discussed on the radio in Philly and through various articles online, it was always highly unlikely that Wentz (and Watson) wasn’t going to be back to his “old self” this year at all and I think we saw that.

You saw many plays where he was hesitant to take off when in 2017 he would have bolted right away. He had some weird hitches in his throwing motion which were brought up multiple times by Ben Solak on Twitter and discussed in depth.

He just did not look the same and that was to be expected and then you factor in the back injury which I bet he would have played through if Nate Sudfeld was the primary backup but when you have the Super Bowl MVP sitting there, you protect your franchise QB.

I dunno, I think most media outlets are still major believers one Wentz because of his 2017 pre-injury and not treating his 2018 as the rule but rather the exception.

Now 2019? That could change depending on how he plays. We will see.

Yeah, to be clear and repeat what I said before in so many words, Wentz is still a great quarterback and better than Dak, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t overrated and due to health and intangible crunch time moments, they are comparable in my mind.

I love Chris Long. Also I want to make a “hey look it’s Dan Snyder” joke about the skid mark licking kid in the video.

Man...I just don’t get it. If every single QB takes off to get into the end zone as he did in that play against the Rams and is sandwiched in that same manner, I’d think almost all QBs experience that same fate.

Now...a guy like Sidney Jones (who you all know how I feel about him here) who had no injury history at Washington, tears his Achilles at his pro day and misses essentially the whole year in his rookie campaign.

Comes back this year and has constant hamstring issues and missed like 75% of the season. That’s fair to label him injury prone.

    Wentz? Just don’t get it.

2/3 of his seasons were ended by serious injury
    What's not to get?

I don’t think Wentz is injury prone at all. Has he gotten hurt? Yes, but the ACL injury and the back vertebrae are two totally unrelated things that can happen to anybody.

If it was consistent back issues, then yes I would say he’s injury prone. I don’t get why people think that if someone goes down for the season once or twice then they’re injury prone. I don’t want think that’s the case.

But what was just said about Sidney Jones, that I get. I see him as an injury prone guy who struggles with lower body injuries, much like why I think Leonard Fournette is injury prone as well.

Because as I said, if the Eagles didn’t have Nick Foles, I am almost positive this micro fracture in his back is not a season ender. They took the safe road but if they had no one behind him, he keeps playing.

I obviously can’t guarantee that but just from paying very close attention to Pedersen’s press conferences and the same with Wentz during this back stuff, it seemed like it was very much playing it extremely safe.

Injury prone doesn’t have to mean the same body part over and over again.

Didn’t Wentz break his hand in college? And didn’t he then tear his ACL? And didn’t he then have back issues?

To date, that makes you injury prone. Call it bad luck too who gives a shit, it’s injury prone.

That description CAN be removed in two years time. OR it can be sealed in place.

Pretty sure I’ve read that he’s missed games in every season since college except his rookie season in the NFL. Is that accurate?

Why hasn't Rodgers been dealt with the injury prone label ? That dude is fragile as glass.

Not once have I ever heard Rodgers been labled as injury prone.

Probably because GB and the NFL think he’s gods fucking gift to football. You rarely hear anything negative said about Rodgers, which is bullshit.

But yes, Rodgers is injury prone as well. Would almost think it would get brought up more seeing he’s following in the footsteps of the most ridiculous iron man streak in sports ever.

Although I have seen it brought up this year quite a bit after what happened in week 1 and seemingly how whenever he plays bad it’s because of a “groin” or a “concussion” or some other vague thing you can’t actually see or find film on lol

In eleven years as a starter, Rodgers has only missed substantial time twice: his sixth season and tenth season.

I remember when Rodgers broke his foot in like 3 minutes of play against Dallas his rookie year lol

It still doesn't take away that he's hurt a lot and he plays through it.

Is Todd Gurley injury prone now too, even though he doesn’t fall within your arbitrary two-year model?
