Year one you need to factor in the shit team he had around him.

I also think Wentz had to deal with his team dealing with the SB hang over as well.

The next two years will definitely shape what the eagles will do in the next five, at least if you don't think he's good you trade him for a 1st the following year and try to tank for Lawrence.

Honestly Wentz’s numbers are very good for his third year in the league plus injuries. 70 TD to 28 INT is a very solid ratio and that’s a lot of TDs considering he’s missed so much time already. Let’s not get spoiled by Patrick Mahomes.

Yeah the jury might still be out on Wentz, but “overrated” is pretty unfair

  6. If in starting a team I'm taking mahommes, Mayfield, then wentz

I'm taking Wentz, Mayfield and Luck to start a team. That's in no order.

I'm getting ready for the AFC tomorrow by scouting Mahomes' prep tape in 2011's The Muppets.

Id probably take Luck first simply because he's already gone through those first few years of breaking through. Wilson likewise.

Then I'd take Mahomes. And after that its Wentz/Mayfield/etc.

    1. Dak has nothing to do with how good or bad Wentz is
    2. Even if it did, all I’ve said about Dak is that he’s 12th to 16th in the league anyways
    3. Looking at a Wentz and what he’s done, he’s played well enough to be a starter but consistently isn’t able to put the team on his back late in games and on top of that seems to be injury prone.
    4. People seem to generally think he’s the best or second best QB drafted in the last five or six years but he hasn’t done anything worth standing out above the others all that much. His best year is when he went down and a backup went on and won it all without him.

yeah thats a crock of shit

    sorry

and his injuries are a torn ACL and a broken vertebra. Its not like he is out here missing games with a lingering groin injury or something

In potential game winning drives in the 4th quarter and/or overtime, Wentz is 4-12. A whole seasons’ worth of games on his shoulders. Not EVERYTHING is on the qb obviously, but that’s a substantial amount.

I’m not even saying he’s bad, he’s just overrated. He’s a solid starter but not elite or near elite quarterback.

So he has led 4 game winning drives in 16 games basically

    isn't that....good?

I'm not even sure where you're getting this info

so in your opinion Dak and WEntz are on the same level essentially?

You know it's funny, Dino isn't the only Cowboys fan to say this about Wentz. It has a lot to do that he's on the Eagles.

    That’s not good, no.

It was a tweet from a guy a month or so ago and I remembered the amount because it equaled exactly one seasons worth of games for Wentz. Dak was at 13-9 with the same parameters, FYI.
If you ignore their names and draft position and just look at all stats available, win/loss records, etc... it’s clear they’re roughly on the same level. Volume is hard to compare since Dak hasn’t missed any regular season games and has played in three playoff games, as well as were one of the most run-led offenses in the league since he was drafted as well.

Well his second season before he tore the ACL he wasn't behind in many games. He pretty much destroyed what was in front of him. That Rams game, he went toe to toe with them and threw a damn TD pass on a torn ACL in a clutch moment. This past season was more of the team not performing at high level before he got hurt and he still played pretty fucking good, not to mention he wasn't fully healthy. We already know what he can do when he's fully healthy. You thought Watson was overrated as well.

like I said, its a bad look to prop Dak up and tear Wentz down

Wentz is much better than Dak. Not even really close in my mind.

4-12 isn’t good when you have the ball and could have a potential game winning drive, I don’t care what QB were talking about, it’s just not good.

I said six games of playing is way too small of a sample size to say Watson was a decade long MVP or whatever stupid shit Ramsey or whoever said.

He hasn’t really proven he’s much better, but okay.

Well good news for dinobro and Cowboy fans everywhere, you’ll get to shit on overrated trash man Carson Wentz for the next decade.

    Congratulations to all of you!!
