I don't think Wake liked Gase very much

I also think he will be elsewhere if he plays next year. Not really sure the 3-3-5 that the Pats run a lot is a good scheme fit for him

Love to see jets fans that were such big fans of moving to 4-3 realizing their only good players are not a fit with it and freaking out.

 

Williamson, Williams, Lee, Adams, and Maye all fit just fine. Lee and Williams are actually better fits in the 4-3.

Hopefully Gregg can get something out of Trumaine Johnson but I doubt it.

It’s not as stupid as you’re making it out to be. He got off the bench to go punch somebody in a scuffle he wasn’t even involved in lol. Between that and fears he’ll spend most of next year hurt as well, it made sense as both a disciplinary move and a response to his lack of availability.

I dislike it too but Fournette needs to learn how to be a better professional if he wants GTD money. If his attitude improves, he avoids future fights / penalties, and he finds a way to take care of his body & stay mostly healthy the next year and a half? We will extend him and he will get some guarantees.

But he’s gotta earn them. Right now any team would lowball him and give themselves an “out” in the contract based on his track record.

 

Except all rookie contracts are guaranteed. So it's not a thing you "earn".

It is a thing you can easily lose because those rookie guarantees have clauses like this. If you don’t prove you’re a consummate pro there are ways teams can void that money. So in a sense losing it is the same thing as not earning it.

So they draft a RB early, build their entire offense around him, and dick around with his money so he has no desire to stick around and they have to start all over.
