Garrett isn't a great head coach by any means, but he's only had 1 losing season in 8.5 years and that's when Romo died on the field twice. In a league where Hue Jackson wasn't fired after 1-31, Garrett absolutely would be a head coach elsewhere if he doesn't stay here.

We ended the year with 7 offensive linemen on IR and having missed at least 6 games (some of them 14-16 games),

including 4 of 5 starters (everybody except Cann),

and BOTH BACKUP offensive tackles (Wells and Richardson)

We literally signed Ereck Flowers because THREE LEFT TACKLES got hurt. And Cam Robinson is in NO way guaranteed to be back to form next season, he had one good rookie year and then tore his ACL.

Plus our offense relies ENTIRELY on being able to run the ball, and being able to do damage control with a bad QB. Two things you can’t do if you don’t have a line.

WE need that OL coach.

This is the dumbest argument of all time. Doesn't the fact that your OL was injury plagued really mean that next year you SHOULDN'T need an upgrade at OL coach?

We had 2 of the worst offensive linemen in NFL HISTORY and one of them was a starter!

AT LEFT TACKLE THE MOST IMPORTANT OL POSITION

 

In terms of teams in the market for a new o-line coach, the Jaguars probably need one the least

 

No! We need somebody who can do a better job of coaching the next man up! Who gets ALL our linemen ready to play not just our starters.

And we need someone who can adapt if Cam Robinson sucks next year and suddenly we have to go another whole year without any good offensive tackles.

We also need someone to bring the potential out of Andrew Norwell cause he MUST be better than last year for the money we paid him.

We also need to draft at least two linemen including one high pick, and we need a guy who can coach THEM as well.

Our line has literally no stability or chemistry right now. Our starters haven’t all played a damn game together.

 

Our STARTERS have no chemistry! They could play a full season together and it'd look worse than your backups. The Texans 100000000% need a new O-Line coach more than any team in the league and making any argument otherwise is just ignorant.

 

Also, this part. @Fucking Dustin you guys have one of the best QB in the league at playing with a bad line

 

Exactly, we invested in an excellent QB and he's going to get murdered because of our offensive line. We're gonna close the window before it ever actually opens if we don't improve at o-line NOW.

You guys don't have shit worth protecting. A good o-line coach would make a 0% difference for the Jaguars. It would make ALL the difference for the Texans.
