Oh yeah, I’m SUPER proud of my boy Gallup. I think he is going to continue being a very good player for us. Love that guy.

 

I will take a loss like that every time over being blown out. We were one or two scores behind a good majority of the game, but I never felt that we were totally out of reach.

 

I just disagree with all this haha, he hasn't been nearly as dominant as Jalen Ramsey, teams have been converting third downs just fine throwing to Bouye's side. Lately he reminds me of Davon House where he always gets a hand in there but never seems to actually stop the catch. $16.5 million dollars per year to play second fiddle to Ramsey? Bruh, Andrew Whitworth doesn't even make that much to be a top 2 left tackle in the NFL.

Bouye would be a great CB1 on a team that sorely needs one... but on our team hes just superflous and an expensive luxury. Unless we are actually suffocating every opposing QB and shutting out BOTH their receivers to under 200 yards passing... we do not need to be paying Ramsey $18-$20 mill on his extension and Bouye ALSO getting $16. We better have TWO Jalen Ramseys for that kind of money.

I agree that this year the move is to either draft offensive or defensive line. Or Devin White considering he'd be our only LB who can deal with a power-rushing attack. I agree that Bouye is hard to replace. But on the flip side are we getting our money's worth out of him? Maybe we did in 2017. I doubt he will live up to that moving forward.

 

He was literally a top three corner last season. Antonio Brown in the playoffs was his first touchdown allowed all season. And our passing defense is still elite despite having every single player in the secondary (including depth players) except Ramsey miss time.

 

Love Gallup Love him even more now that you got Cooper.

Tbh the argument of the Rams trying to “buy” a Super Bowl is stupid. They’re taking advantage of not having a bloated QB contract on the books right now, literally what you should be doing

Eh, he dropped from 18 PBUs and 6 INTs to 8 PBUs and 1 INT. He also rose 20% in catch rate, up to 67.2% this year according to Pro Football Focus. That's a pretty serious decline from year to year. He was NOT top 3 haha.

For some reason though, PFF ranked Bouye higher than Ramsey, but it contradicts itself. Neither of them are in the top 15 which I think makes sense for Bouye but is totally wrong for Ramsey, who was still pretty dominant all year.

PFF was saying that Ramsey "declined even further, allowing 163 more yards than last year"
(which is explainable by a pass rush that dropped from 2nd to 29th in sacks, he had to cover for longer.)

and "had four fewer pass breakups"
(Bouye had 10 fewer? He finished with 8/1 INT while Ramsey had 13 / 3 INT against better WRs?)
